A woman has been charged with intending to cause grievous bodily harm after four men were stabbed yesterday in Covent Garden.
Officers attended to reports of a stabbing on Endell Street at around 12.27pm on Wednesday.
A police cordon was put in place around the area and an air ambulance was pictured landing in Trafalgar Square.
Four men, aged 34, 39, 42 and 56, were taken to hospital to be treated for stab wounds.
Their injuries were deemed to be non-life threatening and they were all discharged by yesterday evening.
Stella Golovena, 47, was arrested by officers on the scene, where a pair of scissors was also recovered.
She will ppear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court this afternoon after being charged on four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
She faces a further charge of one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

In a statement yesterday, Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart said: ‘Officers responded within minutes of the incident after receiving a number of reports.
‘While still at the early stage of an investigation, we would like to reassure the community that we currently believe this to be an isolated, mental health related incident.
‘A visible police presence will remain in the area while evidence is gathered at the scene and we thank the public for their understanding.’
