A man in his 20s was stabbed to death in a large altercation in Kilburn last night.
Emergency services were called to a fight on Ashmore Road in W9 at 7.45pm on Tuesday.
Both police and paramedics attended the scene, where a man in his 20s was treated for stab wounds.
He was confirmed dead and his next of kin are currently being supported by specialist officers.
Homicide detectives from the Met Police specialist crime command have launched a murder investigation, but have yet to make any arrests.
Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah said: ‘My thoughts remain with the family of the man who has sadly lost his life overnight.
‘Homicide detectives are investigating this tragic case. I would urge anyone who has information about what happened or video footage that could assist the investigation to please get in touch with police.
‘I know the concerns that the community will have after this awful incident. There will be a significantly increased police presence in the area while enquiries continue, and I would ask that anyone who has concerns – or has information that could assist detectives – to speak to my officers.’
