Seventy firefighters tackled a fire at a hotel in Paddington on Thursday late afternoon.
The fire brigade was called to the NOX Hotel Paddington on Craven Road at 4.41pm, where the blaze had ripped through half of the five storey building.
Fire crews from Paddington, Kensington, North Kensington and Euston had the incident under control just under 2 hours later at 6.39pm.
Six fire engines were originally dispatched to contain the fire, with ten eventually on the scene.
NOX Hotels operate over 12 properties in London, including two in the Paddington area.
Road closures were put in place including on neighbouring Westbourne Terrace.
The cause of the sudden blaze is still under investigation.
Giving an update outside the hotel, incident commander Lloyd Palmer confirmed no-one had been hurt.
He said: “I am pleased to report the fire is now out. Crews responded really swiftly.
“We managed to contain the fire and as I say, it’s not spread, there are no injuries, the fire’s now out, and working with our partners we managed to bring it to a safe conclusion.
