Police arrest Lisson Grove

Police have arrested two men following the death of 21-year-old after a stabbing in Lisson Grove last week.

Two teenage men were detained on Tuesday at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and grevious bodily harm.

The arrests come days after the victim was named as Omar Abdallah, who was pronounced dead after being found with stab wounds on Mallory Street at 3.20pm on November 28.

The second man, 20, remains in hospital with ongoing treatment.

A third man, aged 21, was also taken to hospital after sustaining a hand injury, believed to be part of the incident on the Lisson Green estate.

Leading the ongoing police investigation is Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie.

He said: “Despite the arrests made, we are still very keen to hear from anyone who has information or footage relating to this horrific incident.

“While police challenge knife crime as a priority, we can’t stop violent behaviour such as this without help from the public – there needs to be a joining of minds where police and the community work together to stamp out the carrying of knives and the violence associated with that.

“If you have information please share what you know. What you tell us, no matter how small, could be a missing piece of the puzzle we are building around Omar’s death. I urge anyone with information about this case to contact us without delay. “

Both arrested men are now being held at West London police station.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC, quoting CAD 4334/28Nov. Witnesses can also speak to Crimestoppers to remain anonymous on 0800 555 111.
